Dealesville is named after John Henry Deale on whose farm the town was established

There are a number of thermal mineral springs and saltpans in the area.

The Baden-Baden spring lies 15Km from town, and Florisbad (named after Floris Venter who developed it) lies 35Km from town.

In 1932 a fossilized humanoid skull was found by Thomas Dreyer, who called it the Florisbad Man, which dates back 40'000 years.

History

Dealesville was established on the farm Klipfontein, owned by John Henry Deale. It became a municipality in 1914.
