Bazley

Bazley

Bazley is named after John Bazley, an engineer who settled in the area in 1850 and built two sugar mills on the Ifafa River. The Bazley brothers, John and William, were both engineers and William made a name for himself as the man who opened up the Umzimkulu River (Port Shepstone) to shipping.
(according to Denzil Bazley).
