Mountain Zebra National Park

The is Mountain Zebra National Park situated in the Eastern Cape near Cradock

The Mountain Zebra National Park (28'412Ha) is less than 20Km west of Cradock and is a conservation area of the Cape mountain zebra of which there are currently only about 300 in existence. The park was established in 1937, which saved these zebra from extinction.

The park's landscape includes rolling plains and deep valleys.

Mammals: Cape mountain zebra, cheetah, Cape buffalo, black rhino, eland, black wildebeest, red hartebeest, gemsbok, mountain reedbuck, grey rhebok, caracal.

Birds: Blue crane, Stanley's bustard.
