Hluleka Nature Reserve

Eastern Cape

The Hluleka Nature Reserve (772Ha) is about halfway between Port St Johns and Coffee Bay in the Eastern Cape, and about 90Km from Mthatha.

The reserve contains the forests Congwane Mtombo and Ndabeni Hluleka.

There is a salt marsh in the reserve.

Game: Cape clawless Otter, impala, bushbuck, blesbok, bush pig, eland, Burchell’s zebra, blue wildebeest, blue duiker, rock rabbits (dassies).

Birds: Knysna loerie, Cape parrot, ground hornbill osprey, green coucal, African finfoot.
