Klipfontein Nature Reserve
Kwazulu-Natal
The Klipfontein Nature Reserve (4'500Ha) is 6Km south of Vryheid on the R34
to Melmoth. The reserve is an artificial wetland and bird sanctuary in a grassland
ecoregion, which was invaded by bluegums and wattles. These invader trees
are now being removed, and replaced by indigenous trees by the Vryheid branch
of the wildlife society.
