The dam offers watersports, floating restaurants and fishing. To the east of Hartbeespoort a cable car ride is offered from the valley up to the Magaliesberg, 400m higher. The track is about 1,2Km long. The Hartbeespoort Aquarium is one of the largest in Africa.
